Producer Guy Sigsworth Upgrades Studio Monitors To Unity Audio Rocks
British composer, producer and songwriter Guy Sigsworth has upgraded his London based studio with Unity Audio Rock MKII studio monitors. Guy has worked on a wide variety of projects over his illustrious career including records by Seal, Björk, Goldie, Madonna, Britney Spears, Kate Havnevik, Imogen Heap, Bebel Gilberto, Mozez, David Sylvian, Alanis Morissette and Alison Moyet. He has also collaborated with many musicians including Talvin Singh, Jon Hassell and Lester Bowie.
The Rock is a critically acclaimed 2-way nearfield active monitor that features a seven inch woofer and a 50Khz folded ribbon tweeter designed by ELAC. The sealed cabinet uses Baltic Birch plywood and a huge 12mm Corian front baffle. The Rock is equipped with a 100 watt discrete bi-polar low feedback amplifier with custom wound transformers designed by the amp guru Tim de Paravicini of Esoteric Audio Research.
Guy comments, “I really, really like my Rocks. Clear, detailed and honest.”
Unity Audio’s Head of Sales and Marketing Paul O’Farrell-Stevens comments, “I’m delighted Guy has joined the long list of world leading artists that trust Unity Audio monitors. Guy evaluated the Rocks at his Tileyard based studio whilst working on a complex project with extreme amounts of vocal layering. The Rocks were the only monitors he could trust to mix the project proving their worth for complex recording and mixing projects.”
